Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions

:: Can I make any file into an exe?
Yes, you can make any SINGLE file into an exe i.e. any file that is complete in itself and does not have other files embedded in it. Standalone files are Text Files, MS Word Files, Powerpoint presentations, Excel Sheets etc. Embedded files are HTML files containing images etc.
This software makes ONLY ONE file into an exe at a time.

:: Can I select what key should be my panic button to hide Internet Explore/How do I hide applications other that Internet Explorer?
File Lock from C-Privacy.com is meant to hide and protect your sensitive information. Although it has a lot of powerful features, it is not an Anti-boss key/panic button kind of application. If you need a more thorough anti-boss key, we recomment hotkey.info. It has all the features that you can think of, such as: Configure what windows to hide/show, configure which key will hide/show your windows, hide All applications etc.

:: What operating systems does it work on?
File Lock from C-Privacy.com is for all versions of Windows operating System and Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher.
This will not work on other operating systems like Linux, Unix, Mac etc

:: How do I register my software?
First you will have to pay the license fees by clicking here, then you will have to send your name and the serial number of the software to us by clicking here. We will send you a registration code by email.

:: The Mail Server of my friend bounces back the emails with exe in the attachment. What should I do?
Some email servers and spam software automatically filter exe files from email. Hence if you plan to send the exe file using email, then you should compress/zip the exe. This reduces the size of exe and makes a smaller attachment for your email.

The user would have to unzip this file and run the exe. Zip files are supported by default in XP. You don't need any third party zip extractors like WinZip, pkzip, winrar etc to view the contents of the zip file. You can see them directly on XP.
For other operating systems you have tons of free zip software such as winzip, pkzip, winrar etc.
